Organizing my spare parts, might build an RC... (Outcast build)

I am really starting to think this truck is cursed. Run one ended 30 seconds in with wheel nuts falling off. Run two ended 45 seconds in due to rod ends popping off. Today was Run 3. Lasted about 20 seconds, and I lost a wheel nut. Yes, I did check all the wheel nuts beforehand and they were as tight as you could get them with the T wrench...

Today's bill, 1 brand new Backflip, stripped. Lost the drive pin, lost wheel nut. Thankfully the hex was laying in the grass right next to the truck.

Grrr...

I know the feeling. On the stripped wheel, Horizon replaced two based on exactly the same issue I was having. Not that we should have to, but I do put one drop of blue loctite on the hub now and haven't lost a nut since. They were Hot Racing nuts too, and lost in a construction site. The thread lock has worked out well and no issues removing the nuts because of it.

I have not updated this thread in a while, but have had a couple of decent Bashas with the truck recently. About 2 months ago, I took it to my local off-road track. That must have been a week or two before the whole covid-19 shut down started. Ran it on 6s, but set the EPA so speed was similar to 4S. Ran truggy tires also, truck was a blast on the track, great fun. Turned almost like a buggy, but jumped and soak up the rough stuff like a truggy. Very easy to drive fast.

A few days ago, the kids wanted to go bashing, so I loaded up a wagon full of RC cars and we walked to a nearby construction lot. Had my spare parts Outcast, my Tekno Beetle Bug, and a pair of HobbyKing 16 scale trucks. The only cars that actually made it to lvc where the cheap HobbyKing ones. LOL the outcasts was running on 6s, lots of fun, till the screw in the servo horn fell out. Such a simple thing to sideline the truck

You could be a Midwest Jennys if Detroit could get packages in and out ??
Right? The guy from Warren RC who sells the LC Racing stuff has a notice up on his website saying that because of the USPS in Detroit it adds at least 10 days to shipping times.

Well he’s being a bit conservative I think. It’s been more like a month delay.
