Specifically for the Kraton. Im looking for heavier weight rear springs and lighter weight front springs. I know team associated yellow fit but am unaware of other brands that may. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Oh, This is for my 4S build. I used front and rear stock 6s Kraton shocks.

Have you looked through this thread yet? https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/...or-4s-and-most-6s-vehicles.18704/#post-286478
the Tekno 48 series shock springs fit on the Arrma shocks as well.

Thank you. No I hadn’t found that thread.
Leads me to another question. The front stock springs are 85 mm and the techno are 70mm. Will they still work?

I’ll read through and review the rest of that thread as well. Again, thanks.

I use the firmer Fireteam springs on both my Kraton & Outcast rear shocks. I find this combo works very well. I leave the front springs stock FYI.

Thank you. I’ll go look up the specs on those. I have not thought of the fire team yet.
So, you use the front fire team shocks on the rear shocks of your Kraton? I noticed that the rear fireteam springs are only 70mm, but the fronts are 85 mm. The kraton takes 95 mm stock springs in the rear… sorry for my confusion I’m just trying to figure this out. I’ve always assume that you have to use the same length springs that come with a stock shock. Maybe I’m wrong here?

I believe Hot-racing makes some.
You can also use Nero springs possibly?

Collars are adjustable, pretty much any length you want in that spectrum of springs..

Can work.
Just depends on how much "spring preload" adjusting may be required. If you require a lot of preload, 70mm could fall a bit too short? With a lighter 4x4 rig, you may not need much spring preload? Ultimately depends on the chosen Spring Rate where your preload ends up. And how much sag you want.
So it is trial and error for the most part. Springs can get tricky. And depends how anal you are with your shock setup.
Tekno springs are well made from good spring steel. FWIW.

Thanks Steve! I get what you mean. Hadn’t occurred to me to use preload to make up for length.
It’s for a approx 9lb 4s build…

Got it. That just hadn’t occurred to me…

Basically it could be as simple as taking the front springs (Kraton front springs 85mm (ar330507) 6.2 lb/in (110.7 g/mm) and throwing them on back.

Man…I really learned something here, thanks to you guys, about shocks. In my mind you had to use the equivalent size spring that was provided stock. Just didn’t occurred to me could do otherwise for some goofy reason. Thank you! This mean I probably already have the springs I need to do this 😊

Um no I just measured mine off shock85mm front 95mm rear

What is stock wire diameter and weight rating
