Cleaning out the parts bin and decided to build up a set of what I call Super Shocks. Here’s the details:
The original bodies came off one of my V3 Kratons or Outcasts.
They are in perfect working order and better than when new with the upgrades. Never mounted, I only just built them this afternoon.
-Everything disassembled cleaned, reassembled, new o-rings
-Tekno lower ball mounts and spring perches
-Tekno orange springs
-Tekno tapered pistons
-New Arrma rear shafts V3 3.5mm
-New Tekno TiNi Coated 4mm front shafts. Those are the gold looking ones. I’ve only bent 2 Tekno shafts, ever. But I’ve never bent one of these TiNi coated ones. Might be more to them then just the cool color.
-Tekno Shaft guides
- Filled and bled with fresh 60wt Losi oil.
I only did the Tek shafts in the front because of the prevalence of front impact hits. Plus, it takes a bit of work to make these 4mm shafts work with the stock Arrma bodies and caps.
These things came out pretty nice and are a significant upgrade over the stock shocks. Both in terms of functionality and hugely in terms of strength and reliability.
I run full Tekno Shocks on all my trucks and there really is a significant difference in quality and performance with them. These shocks are a big leap towards that but won’t cost you $80 a pair.
$75 Shipped Conus. Paypal only.
Thanks!
