Venting is absolutely the way to go !! Many benefits

I vent all my tires and seal the holes in the rims.

if you don’t dirt gets sucked into the holes in the rim and bung up the foam.

Do you need to shim the Diffs on the 8S? Or is that just on 6S diffs?

My o8s is in the box yet I haven’t even looked at it yet. Been too busy.
but, No shimming in the 8s stuff.
