She's almost ready. I just have to tape up the body and transfer the stuff from the old body

I hate to be the one to have to tell you this but your wing went missing between the shots in the back of the car to the ones in the garage...
Hehe. Yeah I put the pictures backwards. What do you think about the look of the tires? They are the same size and weight as the copper heads 2. Both are bigger and heavier than the O8S tires.

What my old body looks like. I lasted almost a year though so that's not bad. I did reinforce the new one with that tape that Megasty suggested.

I'm going to try these batteries. I've heard good things about them. I got a regular 3s lipo from that same company, which is working great on my Granite BLX v3 :

Wheels and tires look stout. With more rim and less tire maybe they will stay together better.
I've been running DuraTrax lockup x 24mm belted tires on my X-Maxx trucks and they have been awesome tires, which are similar to the powerhobby XL ones.

I got the Rovan shocks in my hands but I'm going to give the stock ones a chance again since I think that my bent chassis was causing a lot of trouble with the shocks :

how has your luck been with these? I run the same xlx2 2028kv 1100 setup as you and with 34/47 I get voltage sag below lvc on SMC 9700 100c's after about 15 minutes.
I just ran them for the first time today and they felt cool to the touch. So far so good after one run, but TBH I don't get into the more technical stuff when it comes to the XLX2. I just make sure that my temps are not too hot and such. The build quality from looking at these batteries is very good for not that much money. And it was very hot today here in South Texas (around 95 degrees). My X-Maxx truck running the Max 5 and 1100kv 5687 motor from Hobbywing 25/35 gearing also ran at the same time and those regular lipos got pretty hot (Turnigy Rapids 5500mAh 140C batteries). I was running these things pretty hard on concrete BTW taking little breaks between the two trucks. So far so good with these graphene batteries. But it's a bit too early for me to recommend them. I had bad luck with the lower end SMC batteries (I puffed some of them, they would get hot and the solder internally would come unsoldered). And I felt they were too damn heavy (it was the 9400 75C ones for the Xmaxx). I'm sorry, but I would not buy SMC again. They did warranty the ones where they became unsoldered. Sorry for the rant 😅

Update. Installed the EXB front and rear links and went back to 39/39 gearing. Did a speed run on pavement. Previously I got 52MPH with 34/39 gearing. This time I got 58MPH which is way better. I'm going to see if I can get double backflips now. I also went to punch control to zero since I had it at 25%. I did buy an 1100kv castle motor just in case I can't get double backflips like I get with my other XLX2 system running the 1100kv motor with 35/47 gearing.

I broke one of the EXB links (the rear plastic end on the inner one) today. That's never happened before with the stock tires. I wonder if these bigger heavier tires have something to do with it? I'm going to try this set up with the rear stock links since I'm waiting on parts for the EXB one :

Hammered out another test run. No double backflips with this gearing and stock tires. One of my Rovan shocks is leaking :

Very nice! I just ordered the same combo with 2 39t limitless spools for my k8s. Pps slider slso
Is the PPS slider required for 1/1 or can i get away with the stock slider? I just mounted a 39T pinion with the 39T spur and did the old paper spacing test. Seems fine to me but I could be wrong. I'm running a K8s EXB with a 800kv MAX 5.

Is there a front suspension arm upgrade? I just hit a curb yesterday and have to order parts :(

RPM sells front control arms and rear arms too. They are way more flexible than the stock ones. Even those would probably break hitting a curb TBH but they would flex more so the RPM arms might have survived that one.

I found the sweet spot for my Outcast 8s. XLX2, 1100KV motor from Castle, 30t pinion and 39t spur, K8S EXB tires and rear EXB shocks all around. Standing backflips, double backflips and self turning over are a breeze.

He's been driving on his own for like more than a year now. He started when he was like 3 and a half years old 🤣. There was a 3/4y old kid with his family watching us from inside a van. He was honking at us. Once we finished and I was putting the stuff away his mom told me that he wouldn't let them leave until we stopped playing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
