Trying to pick out a dual 40mm fan mount for the Infraction. I have narrowed it down to 3 options and was just looking for opinions on the matter. Whatever I get, I will probably get an extra set for my K6S and future Mojave EXB too.

Alza Racing: https://shop.alza-racing.com/en/universal-parts/186-motor-fan-base-dual-40mm-add-on.html

Exotek: https://www.amainhobbies.com/exotek-40mm-dual-fan-mount-bar-exo1916/p-qqqrt2kqnm2yqctz

Powerhobby: https://www.ebay.com/itm/303935919733?epid=26046901509&hash=item46c3fe1675:g:pEsAAOSw8vVgZPVZ

The Exotek is the most expensive when you factor in the mount costs, but Alza has to be shipped to the US for me. Alza definitely seems to offer the most support for the fans, but I doubt that's really an issue on a street basher. Now I gotta start dissecting the world of 40mm fans too, jeez there are a lot of options.

I've got the Alza Racing mount (for a single fan). You can't go wrong with how it mounts with zip ties. It's easy to fit and remove, and there's plenty of threads for mounting the fans

My latest build no mount. I think they are way way over priced. Used 3m Velcro. Does the same job for 1.00

Decided on Alza, but now I need to pick fans. I ran a search on the site and scrolled through a few pages of the Electronics forum, but didn't find anything in particular. Any advice for fans? I hate to pay 20 bucks a pop for aluminum framed Powerhobby fans if I can find better for less. I plan to run the fans off the ESC BEC, not a separate LiPo or balance plug (I run G2 batteries).

I just picked up some generic cheapo fans for my infraction. I have found they work ok in a street basher. Drifting doesn't punish them with mechanical shocks like bashing and jumping a kraton would.

I got a box of 6 on ebay just to have spares and I still have 4 left.

Check their amp draws and make sure your BEC can handle them. Most high powered fans will exceed the BEC.

How can I check the amp draw on a Firma 150a @7.4V?

I see people run those Sanya fan a lot, the real thick ones, which are rated for 12V and I assume their RPM is rated at 12V. Any point of those at being decent at 7.4V?

5A max draw. That includes the servo too. You'll need to know what that draws and subtract that from the 5A.

Each PH fan draws 0.65 A at 7.4 with the servo stall draw at 2.3 A at 7.4 so, I think I'm good. Thanks for the info, I will have to keep an eye on this sort of thing in the future. What happens if you exceed that amp draw for the BEC? (I could just barely run 4 fans if I wanted haha)

Your radio will likely brown out or the ESC would shut off if it has that sort of protection.
