Kraton Pillow Balls

I have had the pillow ball pull out of the knuckle twice now from bad landings on new V2.

I Find it strange as the knuckle isn't cracked and I don't understand how it pulled through.

Is this common ?

It's not happened to my Talion yet however I've seen some videos of that happening. I ordered the Hot Racing steering blocks yesterday just so It don't happen.

I have not had one pull thru, but I have also heard several accounts of these pulling thru. My guess is that temperature has a lot to do with it. On a cold day, the knuckle would have cracked, but on a warm or hot day and especially after a bit a of bashing the plastic was softer and allowed for it to give, with out cracking. I bet that once it happens, the plastic will stretch, and allow it to pull thru easier next time.

Zed the first speed and pretty much only speed run I did with my Kraton ended with the pillow ball pulled threw. I had only had my Kraton a couple weeks and after watching to many you tube videos decided to see top speed on pavement and a small dog ran out in front of it. Instead of creaming the dog I turned hard and ended up head on with a curb. Although it looked bad with tire hanging the only replaced part was the small plastic mount behind the front diff. I'm grateful hub allowed the pillow ball to pull threw instead of costing an A arm. Since then I decided speed runs weren't my thing. I have dished out mad punishment jumping it since then and never pulled threw again.
