Typhon Pinion wheel

I was looking at the pinion wheel and found it like this. It seems to have a little offset. Is this normal? And if it is, is it better in terms of efficiency and lifespan?

Ideally it is centered on the spur. But it is ok as long as it is fully engaged with the spur, even if not exactly center.

Yea- the gears aren't the same width, and there is a little play in both the motor and diff locations.
