Got the day off an house to myself so I've been tinkering with mini all day...ran 96 with mm2...decided to try xlx an get a log with new gearing..forgot to set gnss on 1st pass ,but ran 92mph 2nd pass...pulled 211 amps an ran slower than with mm2..guess the mm2 has no problem with 200amps runs...

Run it tomorrow at SR spot an stretch the run out some.if ya never had an xlx,only castle esc where ya can change current limits...400amp max setting...kinda cool..

been thinking on how to make axles stronger....they seam to break at u joint.the 2 plastic tabs that hold metal ujoint separate an come apart.those 2 tabs need strengthened.........ANY IDEAS...............................HEAT SHRINK................IVE BEEN SPRAYING PLASTIC PARTS WITH FLEX SEAL
with zero suspenson travel i think heat shrink would help

I've done heatsink, held up. But the best option I've found is the arrma Cvd's
 
I'm running a similar swb setup,but with typhon body,smaller 4s setup,an vendetta suspension...
These new grps are much better than the old ones.balanced way better

I am glad to hear that the new ones are balanced better since I am balancing some old ones now and they are bad.
 
3 passes at SR spot today with mini..all 98mph.after 10ish passes think that's all she's got with 30/34.check logs an then plans for more SPEED.so fun went things go as planned an car gos like it's on rails...

Yes,should get new motor sat.hope getting a 36mm isn't gonna be a bad idea.little less max watts than 4050-3080kv..if I can keep it cool hoping for good #s with much lighter setup.find out

I am hoping my shock oil in tomorrow or Sat to finish up my Felony should see 100mph+ by the end of the weekend.

Hope so,getting a tp4060cm 3480kv 5s max motor soon....my tp4050 weights 500grams..
Tp3650 weights -400 grams..100 grams is almost 1/4 lb.car will be under 7lbs ready to rock...this is what makes the hobby fun for me,reserching,researching, of thinking,calculating,then testing what I. Think might work..sometimes it works,sometimes not.fun either way...xlx 36×84 an 5,6s it will be soon enough.

Thanks man! Trust me, going through that intersection and navigating the turn at the end of the run is always a thrill….by the time I bring it back though, I’m just relieved that it’s still in one piece! I’ve had really good luck with GRPs - especially the hard rim ones. The only times I really have a blow out is if I hit a minor bump in the road and it diffs out.

Foams are lighter. I’ll measure some on a scale at work tomorrow
 
Testing new motor in subdivision..matched pb on short hits..can notice torque difference between 36mm an 40mm tps for sure..car kept pulling .....next clean pass will be a pb for sure.

Foams are lighter. I’ll measure some on a scale at work tomorrow
I kept forgetting to bring grp’s to work to compare weight differences but I will next week.
The foams that I’ve been using cut down to around 95mm I think are around 50 grams.
