Great kit if you want to dip your feet into 1/8 racing.
+1

I guess the price is negotiable if willing to take "offers" on Ebay.
Yet here on this AF listing your price is firm?????
Here on AF you have a different more knowledgeable group of Arrma RC buyers. I would rethink your price here. Power to ya if you get what you want on EBay. I get it. You probably will sell it there??

This is not Fleabay. It's a Forum.
So expect the comments as you get them.....

JW, but why are you asking 65 more dollars than a brand new one!? 🥴
Also.. these are not discontinued and they are available everywhere, backorder!! 🙄
$65 more because you want it now and can’t wait!! Discontinued sounds way more dire Then backordered.

Oh, I was told they were discontinued. That’s the only reason I said discontinued.

Oh you’re right. The roller is definitely discontinued. Horizon often marks dead items “backordered” for unknown reasons.

Great car. Good luck with the sale.

The TLRT Roller is discontinued. Replaced by the RTR TLRT. Even though they say Backordered everywhere. This is for marketting reasons untill many of the LHS's sell out of these. The rollers are still floating around, I am sure. If you want one that bad. Buy this one.
However, if you just want to bash, I suggest the RTR Standard Typhon. The TLRT is not best for bashing at all. Been there. The TLRT Pill Mounts are way too delicate for 6s packs and sending it. The Tires that come with both the Roller and RTR TLRT versions are also useless for any track let alone on the dirt for bashing.
And for track use, The RTR TLRT electrics are not all that. Depending on the tracks rules , does not meet ROAR specs and allowed to compete in sanctioned events. Maybe only in Open/ beginner class, "bring what you got" races. Running against whatever is there on the track. For fun.

For dedicated track use, there are other better choices out there. Tekno being one of them. Honestly the RTR TLRT version is not really track ready, simply because of the Stocker electrics. If you just want to tool around during practice laps, it is fine. You can do that with any Buggy and a decent set of competition wheels/tires.
Any version Typhon in general runs best with 4s packs IMHO. How I fly.

Agreed on the tires. Have you experienced broken pill mounts? I've bashed my TLRT for over a year without any pill issues.

Yes bent Hinge pins and broke several of the Pill mounts, Even lost a few P mounts and pins, they can go flying. The pins are much shorter than the RTR standard Typhon ones. The pills are a PIA to replace with the correct ones that broke. The correct suspension geometry is dependent on these Pill mounts. Also the assy of the pins and mounts is much more involved than a standard 6s Typhon. The TLRT kit comes with a bag of them. There are NO duplicates of what is already preinstalled. So breaking them requires a purchase of the whole set in some cases. Most who buy the TLRT's will never bother dialing in the Suspension with these Pill mounts anyway. The TLRT is kind of weird because it is not a basher or a Track ready rig. I still love mine. Its kind of in the middle With all the TLRT Branding Bling, thats all. I must say the shocks are Premo however. Delrin innards with X-rings. But you can upgrade any of the 6s Arrma shocks with them. In retrospect, I could have gotten the RTR Standard 6s typhon and got the TLRT chassis for it from JennysRC. (like only $48.)
Again if you want a TLRT Roller bad and right away, buy this one.

Edited.

If you think about it, the Fact that the Roller version is gone, means nothing. ;)
If you want one, the RTR TLRT is Still selling.
Just you are forced to pay more for the same crappy electrics, found in the Standard 6s Typhon.
The supposed Race Ready "Roller" probably didn't sell well for HH.
My hunch.
Seems Arrma has dropped many of their Rollers as a result. The writing is on the wall....
The RTR TLRT version is not truly race ready, coming with sub par electrics when you think about it.
99% will never race the TLRT on any sanctioned track setting anyway.
FWIW, I noticed many got the TLRT Typhon Roller only for the all that TLRT Bling, and that Pink body, then only to install all cheap Spektrum electrics in it anyway.
I feel getting the Standard 6s Typhon and installing just the TLRT Chassis from JennysRc ($48.) is the best way to go in retrospect. Then maybe installing all the Delrin internal Shocks parts, X-rings etc. The best setup that has value and makes sense, for bashing. Then run it on 4s for best durability.

^^^ same here...... also Upper fronts and the the rear D block as well.
Is what it is, that pill block design.
Best suited for the track for dialing subtle suspension geometry changes, in the hands of an experienced driver running 4s packs. A waste for bashing use.
For bashing, not any advantage, only puts you at a disadvantage.

@gethall, Defintely has track "potential" with the right electrics. And I suggest keeping it as light as possible. Out the box light, the TLRT is about 1 pound heavier than the average Kit Race Buggy. Maybe the only drawback. Use a light 4s lipo pack and 4s sensored ESC/Motor.
Any tracks by you in Brooklyn?

I have, my truggified typhon tlr is sitting broken right now because those damn pills lol. I already replaced them in the front with a kraton tower but the rear was still rocking the tlr tower. Replacing it with a kraton tower now too! :ROFLMAO:
