Problems with stock esc I think

So I pop in a fresh battery turn on my transmitter then car. Check steering all is good throttle nothing both ways. Look at esc green flashing light 4x . So steering only no throttle . Please help lol. These cars are driving me mad one if it’s not this it’s that . Thank you in advance

Check your ESC cable for damage.

Cables are all good I did have my fan go out last time out and overheated and shut down . Now the steering works but no throttle just the green light flashing

So I had a parts motor laying around so I plugged that in a gave it a go. Bingo. It fired. So I now really inspect the motor only to find a small nick in 2 wires. Looks like it’s time to upgrade the motor
