Decided to throw on a new body and tires on the mojavified swbbeast. I love being able to change up the body and wheel setup and basically have multiple rigs in one. Again project "All IN" brings me a smile to my face. Such a beast.

I also have a set of UDR Hyrax tires I'll be mounting up soon. I still absolutely love this rig with the mojave Fortress tires on it but options are good

Now that's a nice rig !!!! Can't wait to get mine finished. What wheels are they @Dscracing1320
On this rig I use Proline 2.2 / 3.0 sc wheels with replaceable hubs and team associated sc wheels and my favorite are the mojave wheels although the hub area is too weak. So I'm changing everything over to the proline wheels
Also use the 2.8 badlands but I do not care for the look or performance at all

@Dscracing1320 could you give me the part numbers for the hyrax' above?
Tia

Edit: and the prolines with removable hex 🤣
Many thanks.

DO NOT BUY PRO-LINE 2.2 3.0 WHEELS WITH THE REPLACEABLE WHEELS! They break so easy it's ridiculous. Get the non replaceable hub wheels.

Many thanks.

That's pretty chappy on the prolines.
Have you had much success with the hyrax?
Not the 1st time proline let me down.. I will not give them a Penny more on xmaxx parts. Factory parts are far superior over their "upgrades".. and it appears these wheels are also garbage.

As far as the Hyrax's go I like them but much prefer the Fortress tires for grip.

OK, I'm at the point where I'm trying to choose through a minefield of body's and wheels for my build.

I really like the look of the hyrax but if the fortress offer better grip 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for your help 👍

No problem. I mean the udr hyrax tires are good they aren't horrible but on my racetrack they slide way more than the Fortress tires. Also I'm pretty sure the udr hyrax tires are all on back order atm

They were back in stock a couple days ago. i bought 3 sets for another udr project. Snag the mojave wheels from vitavon and slap them in the tires.

So the HYRAX UDR fit standard 2,2/3,0 SC Wheels ? I thought they had bigger rim OD ? i think I read even an email from proline in a forum about that?!
Would be nice if you can post the inside diameter of the udr tires!
thx.
I was also thinking about them for replacing the mojave tires.

Yes, if you search udr wheels on amain you will see the ones compatible with it are 2.2/3.0. the hyrax for the udr are 2.2/3.0. if you get regular hyrax inner and outer holes are the same diameter.... I still recommend vitavon wheels for it or the DDF wheels

Sorry to be a PITA but I looked at Amain:
I am specifically looking for the Hyrax UDR ( because almost the same diameter as the Mojave tires) :

https://www.amainhobbies.com/prolin...-w-inserts-2-z4-pro10163-00/p1010850?v=997147

These are only compatible with the UDR Wheel:
https://www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas-unlimited-desert-racer-wheels-black-2-tra8473/p746191

Not for the Hyrax SCXL which are compatible with the 2,2/3,0 wheels
https://www.amainhobbies.com/prolin...uck-tires-2-m2-pro10164-00/p1051513?v=1009666

there are UDR wheels for 2.2/3,0 tires though: seems logical with the above info to make wheels which offer possility for 2,2/3,0 tires.

and these is the text at the vitavon wheels on ebay:
Product Name :VITAVON alu beadlock wheel For Arrma Mojave fits with proline hyrax tire
Brand : VITAVON
Color : silver rim+silver ring

pls read below information before you order.

Vitavon beadlock wheels for Mojave fits with Proline Hyrax tires only. not including the hyrax tires.

Recommend to us Vitavon hubs, might not works with other after market hubs.

There is also this threat here where it was mentioned dremeling the UDR wheels to fit Mojave .

If the UDR ( https://www.prolineracing.com/tires/hyrax-all-terrain-tires.asp ) fit standard SC wheels why the hazzle?

These are the hyrax for the udr on my mojave and my Senton. I have one set on ddf wheels and one set on vitavons, and the senton had vitavons on it too. If you use a UDR wheel you will have to drill the center out to fit the axle through. I don’t know of many using the udr tires without vitavon/ddf wheels but any 2.2/3.0 that will fit the mojave axle should work. You have to watch for rubbing on the shallow hub as well. You may need at least a 2mm offset from just bash it or m2c.
