Love the build brother. Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket. The stock esc and motor work great for the rig. I have to keep my max6 4985 turned down so much that if I didn't all my driving would be half throttle or less.
But then again you could run 8s on it and do those standing backflips like @Mr.Duke can lmao

Thanks guys ?
Project: Sledge Hammer is also underway
My K8S build ?

Stock is good, but more power is always better IMO ? not to mention I’m having overheating issues. So...

Had a 67' Camaro bracket drag car called Sledge Hammer. Had the name with a sledge hammer on the doors, multi color paint job thru out. Was a bad beast, put many on the trailer thru the years.

I thought this thread was about something else from the tittle. ??

Look up hammerhead in the urban dictionary. If you dare. I won't link it.

I also have a VERY! special upgrade for project Sledge Hammer that I think nobody else has, or thought of... I’d bet on it!
Stay tuned for the big reveal ? ?

@Hammer Down
After seeing your build I ordered that same RPM front bumper. The RPM site says something about needing a part from earlier Kratons to install the bumper on the V3/V4 Kraton, but when I searched that part it came back discontinued.

You need a Typhon 6s small front bumper to retain the pins. Without the small bumper the pins will walk out and the red alloy part too. The Kraton bumper is too long to leave on with the RPM bumper.

This is the Typhon front bumper with the RPM:

It comes in the AR330230 COMPOSITE BALL CUPS kit and the spare parts have come in very handy.

Just to add to this, the RPM front bumper is awesome. I have hit stuff, nose dived the ground multiple times and I even carry the heavy Kraton by the front bumper and it's holding up well. I highly recommend it.

Exactly what @Warby said. ?

Hey Hammer, need a cameraman when you launch that off your big ramp? Spring can't come soon enough ?

That would be cool to have more video angles on those mega ramp hits. Especially when I start sending the K8S ?
Agreed, spring can’t come soon enough! ?
If it weren’t for the mini-t action in my basement I’d go completely loony!

Update:

I started de-anodizing most of the aluminum parts. Going for that raw ally Thomas P. look. ? So far I’ve done the axle carriers, pillar ball retainers, hexes, lugs, F/R chassis braces, servo mount, motor mount, center diff cup and the M2C rear tower braces. For some reason the M2C anodizing is hard as hell to remove. They went from black to a greenish color?‍♂️ Not too concerned with the parts being shiny, I like the raw aluminum look. Also began reinstalling the parts I have done. Then rebuilt the center (1M now) and rear (30k) diffs. Next are the shock bodies, rear diff case, front pin holders and anything else I can de-anodize. Along with installing my new 4985 Max6 combo ?

Here are a few pics of what I’ve done in the last couple days, more to come soon!
