It's those first attempts/cuts.... So nerve racking.

It needs to be perfectly straight AND square.

Near Perfect 50/50 split ,from Eyeballing it!!!

I impressed myself.

LWB Chassis Chopped!
And, I still have all my fingers.

Tried to video the cutting process ,but I needed both hands to steady the piece to get a clean cut...
Oh well.

And, couldn't ask my wife.. She wouldn't understand.
(Why on earth would you cut/break a perfectly good RC car!?)

Yeah. It took a bit before mine understood why I buy a baby wipes for mine. It can be a weird hobby if you’re standing outside the box

Center Merge Section completed..

This turned out pretty good.

And, for the overall fitment..

Now that the 'Merge Gap' piece is confirmed accurate.
I'll finish it off by designing in some more reinforcement ribs, alignment tabs, battery block(s), ESC plate/mounting holes etc etc.

Then I will focus now on how to properly & securely connect all the sections together...
Probably do something similar to what @StephenSchandelmayer did with his eXtendo chassis by using carbon fiber plates and some nuts & bolts.

I can now "stretch" it to whatever length it needs to be..
to make the Ultimate Speed Chassis!

Ordered some more carbon fiber pieces...

Will get to working on a extended center brace and some "stiffener bits" for the 'merge block'..

Just a quick update..

I've ordered some larger carbon fiber square tubing from amazon, but apparently the parts are coming over from china by U-boat........
I'm still waiting.
