So I ordered a set of the Pro-Line Road Rage 2.8 PRO117218 tires and wheels on eBay to try some street tires on my BLX. They are quite a bit smaller than the stock tires and have way less traction on asphalt. Honestly I’m a bit disappointed in this purchase. The top end speed is gone as well. I do think they look good though. ??
In order to mount these 17mm hex wheels I upgraded my hex’s with the Hot Racing ATF117XT02 hubs. These hubs add 10mm of offset, widening the cars stance. This has added a lot of stability when turning, but I’m not sure how much of that is 4 wheel drifting and how much is the wider stance.
