Yeah, the Max 6 and 1650KV motor 23T pinion are the best for the Mojave. Or the MMX8S with the 1717 motor. But on 6s only. On 8s, the drivetrain just gets destroyed much faster. And the bearings explode. Even the front hubs got worn out on the inside on 8s. 6s, 23T pinion gives you 50+ MPH speeds. But I would put a couple of 35x35x10 fans on that 1650KV motor 👍.

Do you get decent speed and power? I've never had anything bigger than 1/10 scale so I was curious if the size and weight would hurt

Decent is pretty subjective😉. Acceleration is OK and you can drift on hard packed sand, but top speed isn’t all that (around 40mph) once you get used to 6s, but you can increase the pinion if you want more top speed.

Just saw they had discontinued the mojave EXB... that's not cool any word on if they are going release a new version

Sort of. But don't hold your breath. They might not bring it back since rumor has it, that the EXB RTR are not big sellers. I hope I'm wrong. I prefer to choose my own electronics. I usually just wait for a roller to end up on Ebay anyways 😅

Last time I bought a new RC, he's like "daddy, why you buy another RC? You have too many already". He said that right in front of my wife. Yeah, it wasn't a good day for me.
