So the 4s system is wicked in this little thing. Can't find a roadway long enough to get it to full speed, and the tires will break traction if you gun it from half throttle. Loving it, but something weird happens when I get to about half-charge on the battery. The car starts making chirping noises, along with a spasm behavior, going forward in tiny bursts. Stops when I apply the brake and doesn't do it when I am actively hammering the hell out of it. Only does it when it comes to a stop. It doesn't do it for the first 20 min of run time. Any ideas?

also I would check and see what the cell voltage is when you plug the batteries back in to a charger. Maybe you are actually low on voltage

Which batteries are you using? How old are they?
Spectrum smart batteries that are a little over a year old. 2-2s batteries.

Cell voltage was equal across each battery but each battery was not. One was 3.6 on both cells and the other was 3.7 on both cells.
