Question to Max5 users..

I installed mine today only to find I can't power the fan on my stock motor with it as it doesn't comme with a y connector or anything. What's the best solution in this case? My receiver is a Futaba but I've read it can take too much of the power out from there and affect things like the servo if trying to power from the receiver?

any JR Y connector will work fine.

Pretty sure the power to the receiver is the same power rail the fan port has on the esc. I doubt they use two different circuits for it.

Less likely to have issues due to vibration where the wires are soldered together.
