Many of the fastest guys are running the 3pm and 4pk. They are discontinued and sold used on eBay. I was able to get a 3pm mx for under $60 on eBay. The receivers are a little pricey though... There is some additional cost to run a small 3s lipo to power it instead of using 8 AAs.

If you have the budget the 7px is amazing I hear...

what do you guys think of a dumbo, with gyro ??

I never lost signal with mine, to the point of being out of site. It’s a cheap radio though, so shocking that it out performs so many. If I were building a price is no object, mega speed, super car, I’d probably feel silly controlling it with my 25$ dumbo and 8$ receiver but it is quite good...,

From what I read about this radio, it works well, for the money it's a good introductory TX.
