I'm looking at purchasing a steel spur gear for my raider 1/10 bls, I seen one at hot racing that said it fits the raider but I want to be sure that it will fit mine before I purchase it, any thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated

Do not know this upgrade.
But the BLS stock gearing is 48p, so you need a 32p motor pinion too. Like the BLX spur and pinion!

Visually it looks like a fit.

My question, why do you need an aluminium copy?

I was chewing up the plastic spur gear and I'm going to switch over to a castle 1410 series 3800 kv motor also

So buy the Arrma BLX 32p spurgear and motorpinion instead, which are much stronger than the BLS 48p!
The Arrma BLX motor has similar power as the combo you suggest.
But mind you so much power needs more upgrades to make ik sturdy enough:
  • an aluminum motor mount (plate)
  • metal gearbox gears and differential
  • aluminium rear hexes
Check the Raider BLX guideline (download from the Arrma website) for the exact part numbers.

And check the correct fitting of spur/pinion regularly. A small deviation from the correct fit will wear it out fast!
