At triple the price, I don't see a reason to buy ceramic. Just stock up on extra bearings, probably can't even get through them all.

Avid bearings and some others have hybrid bearings one kind of shield on one side such as rubber and metal on the other side. Avid calls them Revolution bearings.

Finished upgrading all my bearings to rubber-shielded bearings. You'll need:

(4) - 5x10x4 steering bearings (replaces plastic bushings)
(4/6) - 10x15x4 slipper/input shaft bearings. I kept the two inner ones on the input shaft since they aren't exposed, but you could buy 2 more for that.
(4) - 6x12x4 wheel bearings
(8) - 12x18x4 wheel and diff bearings

The metal ones didn't last long, they aren't fully sealed so dirt gets in them, especially the rear input shaft bearing.

Razor i bought all those through Avid and they came in yesterday, sadly i have 0 clue how to take this thing apart to replace them so this should be fun...lol Anything i should know about the clutch etc?

thank you! and no problem whatsoever in bad weather condition like driving on the snow or thru the water?

No snow in costal texas. :) and water will kill any bearing. If you run in water, be sure to 'dewater' (dry it real good) the car, and then relube the bearings. WD40 is great for getting water out of bearings, but be sure to follow it with proper oil.

Why do them all at once? I will normally just swap bearing as I do regular maintenance. But either way, go to Arrma-RC.com, and down load the exploded diagrams, and have them handy when you are working on the truck.

Valid point Jerry, i am new to this truck and it's been a while since i've done this so i wanted to get familiar is all. What do you recommend for oil?

Good advice ? i am new in this stuff so here you share a lot of good info for us newbie ? what is best to use in diff...oil or grease? I read alot of this theme but stil not found an answer.

There are lots of good oils you can use. From Walmart or similar, you can get Tri-flow or 3-n-1 oil. I Normally use a "wet" bike chain lube for my bearings. If you have a LBS (Local Bike Shop) they will have several choices - just make sure it is a Wet lube (non-evaporating) not a Dry lube (Teflon/wax in a spirits oil).

In a pinch, you can mix your favorite regular car motor oil 1:3 with spirits and use that.

It would probably be fine... but this line from their add copy gives me pause
"Your chain is now protected for about 50 miles of hard riding."
That is one afternoon of cycling, not a very long life from a bike lube. That line alone would make me pass on this, both for a bike lube or a bearing lube.

This is the stuff I use these days, but it seems silly expensive on your side of the pond.

I also have a bottle of this rolling around my garage, it works -

I also have a bottle of this - I use it on suspension pins, pivot balls, ball joints, CVD's, anything that is exposed to dirt where I don't want a Wet lube attracting dirt. But don't use it on bearings...

There's videos on how to remove the power module and it's pretty easy once you do that. I think some of them were stuck on pretty good, the only complicated part for me was how to take the diff holder apart. I made a video on this:
