Decided to try mounting vendetta body on 1/8 metal chassis car....I knew I'd need the narrowest suspension available,senton 6s......getting tired of trying to fit bigger packs under my typhon with senton 6s suspension so Decided to rebuild car.....car has xlx2 tp4060cm-3480kv an currently has a 122mph 5s pb......stripped it down....replaced chassis,removed some parts an did some mockup....so even with S6 suspension track is too wide..started cutting on body,to late to turn back know..gonna try mounting stock detta front bumper an rear defuser..may look alittle funny,but I'll make it work an hopefully pull some better # with body....ordered lots of parts.

Typhons not long gone,,,,put another swb together using mostly spare parts.i love new setups so fun...

Okay I figured out front body mount.just mounted detta front end an mounts.worked out well just gotta figure out some support on the top side.also figured out a senton6 front tower on the rear flipped almost matches rear mounts..still brainstorming rear mounts.don't want to drill new holes in body..waiting on some more parts now.

Made alot of progress on build today,I used 6s shock standoffs for support on front end,used 1 standoff for rear support.nice an sturdy now..

Swapped detta body mount post for taller senton6 post an added 2nd rear defuser.

Mounted xlx2 an couldn't resist a 3s test drive.car went strait,an looked super stable...no tire rub.still waiting on side-skirts,splitter,an some other smalls......got alot of adjustments to still to make...

When ya do a motor mount flip on swb you can't fit the front chassis brace.front shaft is in the way,so I rigged up a t-buckle as a brace..works good.starting car on some aggressive rake to help car from blowovers,then lower rear as I go..car has all turnbuckles instead of shocks...makes tuning suspension so much easier opposed to shocks also will help car from squating then blowover,plus no extreme tension on suspension an chassis...1 droop screw falls off chassis tab an you crash...plus 70 grams light than shocks.....if car starts going airborne i already decided it'll get a 1lb heavier 56mm to try an keep it grounded...weight with an w/o body...also sprayed body with flex-seal for strength,rigidity,filled main-vein with hot glue since it looks like it would be in most contact with road if sliding down road on its roof.

I really hacked up the wheelwheels..problem I'm gonna have is tire ballooning into sharp edge of wheelwheels.just ran car on 4s for a tire-rubbing 99mph.ill have to raise body some,tossed some old notorious side guards till side skirts come...this is mostly a spare parts build like most of mine...lol

With a forecast being in the high 90s this week decided to put tp5670 in car to continue testing without worrying about burning my 4060 up...56×102mm barley fits.

Just ran it on 3s an azz end was light,getting loss easily...extra weight up front very noticable.try a 4s pack next,might try move pack towards rear some..this car is sooo low profile,never ran a body with so much room for packs.could run 2×4s stacked with ease....

Couple of exciting runs,1 from last night about hit a car that pulled out in front of me an 1 from this morning,gnss broke so no confirmed speeds until I get new gps...I'm guessing 115-125 on 5s so far...setup is good for 8s...so running at about 65% of setups potential.
 
So last night I removed notorious side-guards an replaced 6in CF pieces..ran car this morning 126 1st pull an then crashed out on the big end on 2nd pass...car got lose and under hard braking ran it off side of road....minimal damage.....I think to much air was getting under body causing it to get loose...so today I'm going over car an figuring out how to block front of car back off...130ish+ is when the little things make huge differences aerodynamically. Faster ya go the more smaller gaps you must block off...airflow into car becomes your enemy.130+ crashs are not fun.diffrence between this pics is a CRASH

So here's what I've come up with,probly try to block-off alittle more in front of motor area on both sides some more..

After looking at things,I must figure something out with this pocket...this would cause problems,probly blowover...
Everyone has stuck there hand out the Window goin 70mph down the highway...imagine the airflow at 120+++..the smallest gap or air-pocket will blow car over quik.

Pb from yesterday
At 39 seconds ya can hear car hit reflector,log shows 1st pass had highest rpms..2nd pass sounded, looked faster..waiting on a gear now..I gotta hit 130 on 5s.

Update on car......
This car used to be my typhon setup like this......
Typhon ran best of..
3s 86mph
4s 112mph
5s 122mph
Then converted to vendetta with not many changes an so far
3s 110mph
4s 99mph..haven't pushed it on 4s yet
127mph on 5s
It handles much better at speed an huge gains aerodynamically.didnt expect such a difference in top speeds...still pushing car,lots more gains to go......JUST SWITCHING FROM TYPHON OPEN WHEEL TO VENDETTA BODY....
