Apologies for continuously playing devil's advocate, but now you just created a funnel for dirt/stones/debris to consolidate around the bulkhead and spinning diff cups/dogbones.
Good point. Constructive criticism is always a good thing.

Hopefully it involves a servo driven relief to allow evacuation!

You're right. As a machinist I think how to make stuff. You're an engineer? You think how making stuff is going to change other stuff. Which is good. I've noticed on my Notorious much more debris get & stay in the chassis, especially the rear. My Kraton, not nearly even half as much debris. The side guards are open on a K6. Sometimes it needs cleaning out. The Notorious always does.

But not to say the Tex side MUDD guards are a bad idea. It's a great idea.
Run a rc in mud. You're gonna have to clean it. These would be a super great upgrade. Running in sand, eh, maybe not. Great ideas fellas. 🙂✌️

Interesting, taller body/cab on the Noto so I suppose that creates a vacuum unless you are just reverse spinning a lot into the open under bed area. The Kraton/Talion/Typhon bodies are lower slung on the rear end based on body post mount position too. You run front side gaurds on your Noto right? I see they're integrated into the chassis skirts on the v6 (y)

My Notorious is a V5. Yes-I run them- it's all stock, just EXB bolt on's & some upgrades of parts. I run in my yard,(grass lawn) mainly, & asphalt. Some dirt. But it gets alot of grass in there. You have a Notorious- yours gathers debris? My Kraton I run in the same areas, & it all, mostly, blows out on its own. Very little cleaning, just dirt.

Just depends on the day, but nowhere near a 6S Mojave without a net 😊

My ideal would be side guards that fit the shape
of the underside of the body from front to back. (y)

Dang..
You hacked into my computer or something...?

Seems to fit against the chassis okay..

But, the motor side is an issue, since the back of the can will poke/block the guard from being any higher, currently.

Is it the motor or the motor wires thats in the way?
Looks like the wires...?
If thats the case, then the can could be rotated to have the wires up and away from the guard...?

I'm just wondering when do I send you some $$$?

Hi all!

Was wondering if someone came up with 3D printed rear chassis side mud guards for Kraton 6s? I don't fully understand why the rear of the car is absolutely open with no attempt to minimize the amount of mud getting inside. The only reason I can think of is for rocks to have an easy way out.

Thinking about designing a part that would keep the snow out. Something like on the pictures below. What do you guys/gals think?

Just buy the Notorious guards , I put them on all my 6s including the Typhon

Taking all into consideration, I went ahead and followed @Felony_Prime advice :D But instead of a bucket, I got two plastic storage box lids for dirt cheap. Around 2mm thick. Some rough Dremel and heat gun work, 3m x 10mm screws/washers/locking nuts. Working MUDD prototype is ready! :D

There is a horizontal misalignment due to the fact that the factory side guards don't connect with the chassis at a 90 deg angle, but rather with a curve. I think I'll test it as is to see how it goes. One idea is to slap that "plastic hair" from a brush to the lower part of the MUDD. It might allow some dirt in, but at the same time should allow small rocks to fall out (which is a good thing).
