Talion Rear diff stripped gears

Hey guys

I wanted to run the Talion one last time before I tore it all down to replace the bearings with Fast Eddy’s ones- and I took it out in the street on 6s and after just a few seconds the rear diff screamed.

Well, I tore it down and what a mess was inside the diff housing! All greasy and gritty from diff fluid, and the pinion and crown gear were wasted. The diff cup had barely any fluid left. I guess it all puked into the housing and caked up in there- I mean- there’s not supposed to be grease in there right???

I’ve only run like 15 packs thru this truck... is this a warranty issue?

@I'mon6s take a look at our Arrma differential rebuild. I would also recommend shimming your differentials as well and you can get some very useful information in the How to shim your Arrma diff thread.

Yes, there needs to be grease in the diff housing between the pinion and crown gears. Its also known that the diffs from the factory are not completely full either.
