Typhon Receiver antenna doo hicky

How important is that cover that goes on the antenna? Mines never been secured since I got it and it’s gone now.
I guess I’d use a little silicone now if I got a new one

I always take mine off because like you my first one came off real quick. I just electrical taped my wire to the chassis. Or you can wrap it up in the receiver box, or silicone. Whatever floats your boat

Mine fell off and the battery loop connector sheared it off mid-run just from the G's in the 1-2 inches of free space it had to move. Had to re-cut the antenna to make it functional again, now 3 inches shorter.

Replacement part is ARRMA AR390001 Antenna Pipe Set. Haven't needed the actual antenna yet, but another cut like that and I will be investigating how to replace the antenna off the receiver board.
