Receiver with gyroscope placement

Does the placement of the receiver with a gyro matter? As in does it need to be flat or can it be tilted 90 degrees? The stock placement in my typhon is 90 degrees tilted. Can I repeat this on the gyro receiver or does it need to lay flat usually?

I would imagine it needs to stay flat as it'll just think the car is at a 90 degree angle all the time.

Depends on the receiver. The Spektrum SR6000T can be mounted either way.

Exactly. Usually this is stated in the manual. Make sure the receiver is tight though, so it doesn't go anywhere, not a single mm.
