What’s the height underneath the truck? Do you have a picture of the ride height? With my typhon v3 shocks, my Senton Mega rubs on the suspension arms

I measured after playing with the pre-load a little here and there. I settled in on 1.75" to the underside of the chassis, front and back are the same.

35wt. Although the rear feels alot stiffer. Which most people usually like. Just odd because the Pistons looked the same. Might just need to rebleed the fronts. All in all great shocks and no leaking after 3 pretty good sessions

I got these as well and put on today. I agree the back feel stiff, not as quick to reset. I'm pleased with them so far. Hope to see how they do when I get a chance to run it. I put 40wt in them.

A list of compatilbe bodies would be nice. I know most 1/10 bods that fit the Stampede for example will fit the granite but with major cutting here and there, but I've seen someone put a buggy body and I think that was a 1/8 scale.

Hello,

I owned the 4x4 mega brushed version and soon I will converted to bruslhess.
Motor I will use 3660 3800KV (with something like 17T pinion).
Battery I will use mainly will be 3s, if it can handle maybe and 4s.

I bought the upgrade parts (of blx version) for rear and front diff
https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/hello-from-greece-arrma-4x4.6877/post-80809

So I was thinking to replace and the center 91T/48dp SPUR GEAR with 57T spur gear 0.8M.
Which shall I choose the blx or the new brushless 4x4 spur gear?
https://www.arrma-rc.com/products/SPUR+GEAR/30/1/ALL/ALL/ALL/ALL

Also, if it was easy someone tell me the exact extra parts that i will need to make this upgrade.
Last (though i have) if you think that I should stay with the original spur gear and buy some backups

Thank you

3800Kv running 3s and possibly 4s? You HAVE to upgrade the spur and slipper assembly. No two ways around it. What you will need is the 3s BLX motor mount (buy from Tower/Amain?etc) and the entire slipper/spur assembly from a kit breaker like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Arrma-Gran...YTtcHM87??USPSFirstClass!06776!US!-1:rk:13??0

As an added note, with a 3800Kv motor and a 17t pinion (along with the 57t Mod .8 spur) your top speed will be in the 60+ mph range. The Granite will be hard to drive and motor temps could become an issue. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Thanks for the answer I will check the parts that needed and the cost of it,
otherwise I will leave it as it is the (original) spur gear and get a lower KV motor (like 3200/3300)?
For more balanced torque/speed what pinion shall I choose?
It's ok 17T pinion and 91T/48DP (original spur) ?

If you want to run 3s, you need to upgrade the spur and slipper. Doesn't really matter what Kv you go with. 3s = mangled 48p spur.

To answer your last question, if you are running the 91t stock Mega spur then you will be running a max of 2s. That being the case, you are going to want the largest pinion that the Mega motor mount is drilled for. I think it's 26? That would give you a top speed around 43 mph with a 3800kv brushless motor on 2s. If you want faster than that, you need the mod .8 gears.

So I ordered the above eBay shocks.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/ALUMINUM-S...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

First impressions are very good. Even comes with spare rod ends as well as bushings for the upper connection. Although the upper connection could use a 3mm ID washer to keep the shock from shifting fore and aft. All in all pretty pumped. Put oil in them and ready to rip tomorrow. I will report how they do.
Hi there.
The link doesn't work anymore, but I think I bought the same exact shocks from ebay.
When rebuilding them, it looks like the white piston only has 1 hole to allow oil flow when it should have 3, so it makes the truck feel like it has NO suspension. Vendor has said they will send me replacements. How are yours performing?
Other than that they look and fit 100%.
Springs are a little soft, so the truck sinks maybe 20-30% (nice for me!)

Witch ones are you talking about, i have hot racing on the front and some cheep china shocks on the back, i removed the blatter and sealed the vent holes they work great

I like my TrackStar shocks, much better quality than the eBay cheapos. But they were out of stock last time I checked.

@Rich Duperbash runs them on his Typhon 3s with Team Durango springs. I need to get those part numbers from him as the springs I have now are a bit long.

Fronts - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/1-8-alu-shock-absorber-set-106mm-2.html?wrh_pdp=2 - Out of stock in the US warehouse, but the China warehouse has them
Rears - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/1-8-alu-shock-absorber-set-126mm-2.html?wrh_pdp=3 - These are out of stock in both warehouses.

I am also waiting for these shocks to be in stock again ... these hsp shocks are all right, but I would like to try this from the track star ... rich said that they are good! and they are also cheap depending on what they offer ?

The quality of the TrackStar shocks compared to the HSP shocks is night and day. The HSP shocks I bought had a lot of shaft slop in them, the TrackStar shocks don't have any.

All 4 of my shocks had 2 (.063) holes in them. The rears still felt to stiff. So instead of doing lighter oil, I just added one more (.063) hole to the piston with a drill press. Super easy fix. Now I can run 35wt oil all around and it feels great.

If you feel like the springs are to soft just add pre-load to them, if you like it to sit a little lower then all should be good.

Damn, I didn't have a drill press and ruined my piston. Thanks for confirming. The eBay vendor I bought from was different but they look identical. I'm going to try to locate some substitute pistons with 3 holes.
