Is like to paint the body that came with the car after stripping the paint off, how can I remove the clip retainers without breaking them? They seem really difficult to pull out.

I put some 303 on them and used a screwdriver to pop them out - just get the lip worked down into the hole while pulling on the clip side - they'll pop out.
