Well.. That curb just jumped out in from of me!
Anyway need to replace a lower arm on my. 6s 5v
It was looking pretty straight forward except I’m struggling with the pivot ball rod.
Is it just a friction fit ?
sure don’t see what else holds it in.
Thanks!

You need to take an alan wrench and stick it into the red part at the end of the pivot ball to twist it off.
That was my first approach but that just unthreaded the ball from the rod.

Ive never had a ball unthread from the shaft before (heh). I thought they were machined as a single piece. Loctite the ball back on to the shaft, wait 24hrs, try unthreading it again. Shaft is threaded into the arm.

Sounds like a sound plan!
Thanks!

It’s out in my shop. I’ll take a pic in the morning
Alright. Brain fart. A little sleep goes a long ways sometimes.
I was thinking last night that just unthreading the red cap would do it.
Didn't look close enough to see the hex on the end of the ball.
All is well. Thanks

Just did the exact same repair, sheared off the entire left side front assembly. Just a word of caution, the red caps on the knuckle like to thread in crooked.

Put back together and going to take it out in the morning I think.
