How do you put the retainer clip in? The old one broke got the new one, but can’t figure out how to push it in.

Grab the tip from the underside with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull.....till it pops in place

lol that's how most of mine have been for a long time, Some I just do that immediately because I know it'll happen eventually. I don't buy new ones anymore. Just run them like this

Looks like you can fix it without a full replacement.

without taking it apart, it looks like the ring gear broke. I would take it apart and see if there is any other damage

It was just a lose grub screw.
The diff cup looks like it’s broken..

the plastic diff cup is clearly broken off and wide open
At first glance it looked like the ring gear, but it’s clearly the opposite side

Agreed lol, the picture is taken weird lol. I had to double take. The diff cup has a metal piece built into it that holds the bearing. Its clearly broken completely off.

Good job dude. I've not seen anyone do that. Props lol

You will just need a new diff cup. But for sure there is no fixing it.

Put some grease or WD40 on it and pull it through the hole.
What she said ☝️😂
Looks like your center diff got too hot. Usually from low oil inside. You had a diff go out cpl weeks ago when it wouldnt backflip. It prob made it overwork itself because it had no resistance on the side your diff went out.

I have oil, you’re in Aurora, right?
