I have a bonus check coming, and I’ve been itching for a 3s rig. Was going to go with a Granite, but I saw vids of the MT10 withstanding incredible brutality without breaking, so I was wondering if anyone else on here has one and what they think of it. I’m also thinking about a MadVan for the cool factor, but I know I’ll break it in no time lol.

So long story short, do you think a MT10 is better than a granite?

I have a Granite for my daughter, my mate bought an MT10 for his first RC.

I would pick the MT10. With a set of RPM arms on it is literally bullet proof. I clipped it at full whack with my mini maxx ripping a wheel off, it was fine. Plus no slipper clutch to stress about

I have an mt10 for my son and its a solid truck. He slams it into stuff all the time. He has technically only broken a hingepin pill out of all his little crashes. Looks great too.

I like the MT10 for the center diff instead of slipper (Personal preference I Suppose). I'd go MT10. I almost pulled the trigger on a used MT10 a couple weeks back.

@razorrc has a comparison vid of the MT10, Granite and Hoss. It's a couple years old but I don't think much anything has changed with these 3 aside from pricing. The MT10 v2 appears to be just a new body over the v1.. with some folks claiming the v1 body to be tougher, IDK. The v1 MT10 is on sale pretty much everywhere right now.. me? V1 all day..
I have a Hoss, it's pretty good, tough overall, ultra shocks are a bit cheesy, especially for the cost of the truck. I dropped a set of Losi Lasernut shocks on it from a kit breaker for about $40. Been solid since..

LOL that's funny I have the same shocks on my Rustler, so much better than the ultra shocks and most of the aftermarket ones too.

Right? They're really nice shocks. I like the fact that I can actually find parts for them easiliy too. One of mine started binding up for no apparent reason.. shaft looks staight, body doesn't look damaged either.. so I uh, stole one from the Lasernut that has taken up residency in my garage🤔😉😁
The Lasernut my brother bought last year, broke and fixed a few times, got pissed off and said you can have it. Okay! Threw a set of Hoss tires on, bigger pinion, new front hub carriers and an Exotek steering kit..it's a ripper! Needs a shock though!!🤣🤣

Weak, shuda got the mt8…
I actually looked at one, and did a little research, and apparently they have durability issues. Mainly the lower arms, and the servo isn’t very good for a truck that size. Maybe they’ll do a V2 and address these issues, but I’m not getting one just yet. That, and I already have a 6s short wheelbase truck in my Notorious.

Yeah the MT8 has some durability issues. Pretty sure every video I have seen on it it broke.

Warning. The MT10 is probably the most weather dependent vehicle I’ve ever owned. Could be associate’s plastic formula but I got my MT10 back in the fall and broke virtually every piece of plastic on it over the course of the fall, winter….most things multiple times. I gave up on it and went back to losi and Arrma for the remainder of winter and spring. I gave the MT10 one last chance with true summer temps and I literally can’t break stuff on this thing even when I try. I‘m back to trying some triples, quads, double fronts, half and half’s and just beating this thing to death and it takes it all. In the winter this thing broke stuff just hitting small ruts.

I run lots of cars all winter and I’m pretty reasonable about temp limitations. I understand every car has its plastic temp threshold where things start to get brittle and snap and cold weather bashing runs risk, but never had one break parts like this one. Not sure what temperature tips this thing from being glass to indestructible but do not recommend bashing hard below 50 degrees. seems like if it’s in the 70s or 80s do whatever you like to it. 👍
