Anybody have one of these? Are they any good? I’m looking for a 1/14th or 1/12th scale buggy to run in small areas or indoors in the winter. Thanks

It’s a solid buggy, kids beat the hell out of it. The only issues I’ve had is them breaking the carbon front tower so I went alloy and it has only went through one bulkhead running head on directly into a notorious 😂 . Unfortunately the dumbo receiver would lose signal and run away outdoors so I swapped that for spektrum sr315/dx5 rugged. Seemed to be an isolated issue as dumboX6 is solid.

Also the battery strap for any other Lipo than the 2800mah 2S. I just added a side strap to contain 3S or other sizes. Severely over-geared for hot weather FYI, the ESC shut down nicely though before I put the 17T on.

My son and his 4H rc club got invited to a few small indoor practice tracks for the winter months. So, I wanted to get us both something to run on the cheap. The guy who invited us said 1/14 or 1/12 scale only. 2s only. My sons 4H rc club also does some local events at a park on concrete to attract other kids into the hobby and promote the local hobby shop and race club. Our rigs are too big for the small stuff.

Hello, I see that you have modified your am-x12 for other lipo. What dimensions can you use with this mod? Do you have any pictures with a big lipo inside?

I run a 2200mah 3S, it’ll fit longer depending on the brand/profile

Good news if length isn't an issue. But for the height and width, is it a problem for the 2s with the largest capacity?
