1/4" UHMW plastic sheet with beveled edges and countersunk holes. Also added double sided tape for a bit of cushion and to hold it while I drilled the holes:

I did run some 3/4" HDPE stuff (cutting board) I had, but it looked goofy, so got some thinner stuff and made new ones. I run the probodyrc bodies, which are tough to crack, but are pretty soft, so concrete is not kind to them. I did this after noticing I had a small hole ground through on my stampede 4x4.

I'll probably bevel the edges a bit more now that I'm looking at them... I made the latest 2 at 1am when my wife was sleeping in the next room, so didn't want to go nuts with the sander. lol!

On my outcast, I had a piece of delrin flat stock that was just wide enough to work ok. It's harder than the UHMW I'm using on the other two.

Looking at the hood and rear of the stampede... I might put something on there too as they are getting ground up a bit. I run that one at skate parks a lot.

I don't use or need them. Because I never flip my lid.
