That’s what we always said on my mountain bike team. Rubberside down.I find using the tires to be the best protection for avoiding damage to the roof.
My wife and I love those movies. Umbrella corporation! That’s great. I got to show her this picture…she cracked up
That actually gave me a good(maybe) idea. Use my blown out tires, cut the rubber off, bolt it to the roof. Or glue it maybe.I find using the tires to be the best protection for avoiding damage to the roof.
Nah, you don't want something that grabs. You want material that is hard enough to slide and hold up to wear. If it grabs, it will just tear your body apart at the mounting holes or break the body posts. That actually gave me a good(maybe) idea. Use my blown out tires, cut the rubber off, bolt it to the roof. Can't belive I didn't post this yet.

Yeah, makes sense.Nah, you don't want something that grabs. You want material that is hard enough to slide and hold up to wear. If it grabs, it will just tear your body apart at the mounting holes or break the body posts.
I think you guys missed his joke.Yeah, makes sense.

If you are on the tires you are not on the roof.
Rubberside down
Dang…those look nice. Do they provide anything besides screws for mounting? Do they have any kind of underneath support?
How do you have it attached to the body?
You find me the guy that always lands rubber side down and I won't be anywhere near him... because I am not worthy to be amongst such greatness!I think you guys missed his joke.

No I didn't miss his joke. It was a little trippy at first, then I realized he meant that you don't land on the roof like 2 seconds after I read it. Then it got me thinking to putting tires on the roof.I think you guys missed his joke.

On the stock Granite body I was able to use just heavy duty double sided tape. For some reason it didn't hold on the Proline body, so I drilled holes and used screws and nuts. The plastic is soft enough that the screws countersink themselves just from tightening. How do you have it attached to the body?
Just noticed... those are some worn trenchers! That thing has to be like skating on ice when in the grass! On the stock Granite body I was able to use just heavy duty double sided tape. Yes they are. You should have seen my old MX28's, they were racing slicks. I like sliding/spinning the wheels on concrete way too much. I mainly do ramp jumping with a concrete run up, so I don't really need crazy traction. But I just got a new set of MX28's, which I'll keep on dirt/grass.Just noticed... those are some worn trenchers! That thing has to be like skating on ice when in the grass!
From my mountain biking days when it was far more important and less painful to land on your rubberside. Old habits…You find me the guy that always lands rubber side down and I won't be anywhere near him... because I am not worthy to be amongst such greatness!
