don't seems like a crappy one you have though its a 70C... i bet a 2400mah 40C or less would not work though or could damage the electronics.

and again, can i run the kraton with 5s (1 2s + 1 3s)...??

the idea here is that he has access to 2s/3s or 5s power
i wanna make sure in advance this wont damage the car or the batteries
in which case i better get him either 2x2s or 2x3s

and seemed pretty straitforward on traxxas buthow does it work to lower the power on the kraton?? .. onboard/on remote?

The 5S will not work on a V3 or newer BLX185. You could upgrade to a HW or Castle ESC to get that ability and much more.

You can run whatever combo you want;

1x 2S, 3S, 4S, or 6S with the loop plug
Or
2x 2S or 3S

It all is personal preference.

it’s a fake 70c. it’s a horrible battery.
