  1. Senton 6s
I filled them with 40wt oil. Pretty easy fit but they are larger than the old. Still think it’ll be an upgrade from stock.

I got them fast, they are actually pretty good quality. Change out the oil they come with when you get them, its like 1/4 full of this yellowish colored fluid. Drain that and add in whatever your desired weight is.

To fit them to the top brace, use #6 Washers and some 10 or 8 gauge wire shielding.
What is the wire shielding used for?

I ordered a set of those and they were way too big, the fronts that came with them were just a little shorter than the stock rears.
From left to right stock rear shock, HSP front and HSP rear.

Mine were about the same. But the springs have further travel than the stock, and when under load of the weight of the car it only adds about 1/2 inch to ride height.

Just got the same set in the mail yesterday. Thank you for installation tips.

I was recommended a set of shocks for the Senton Mega or 3S. I ordered a set and i'm blown away by them. They are not as bulky as the HSP and came with the plastic fittings for the eyelets. They have progressive springs as well. If you still need shocks or are not happy with the HSPs as I wasnt, give these a go!

They are the identical length to the factory shocks and have 4mm shafts.

They are nice quality but the rear are very stiff. I noticed the rear bouncing. I put 40wt but someone else mentioned a lower weight didn't help. I may try to sell them unless I find a way to soften them.

I read the same thing on a post, they do seem stiff, but with the torque before my back end used to really bottom out with the stock springs when I got on it. Now i don't have that issue.

Someone mentioned that the fronts have a hole for the fluid but the rears don't. I'm going to tear mine apart and check. Maybe putting in a pin hole will fix the issue totally.

Cool let me know what you find.

Yeah I have those eBay shocks on my 4wd Stampede and the springs that came with those were a bit to stiff for my liking so I used the springs that came with the Stampede. They appear to be progressive rate orange stripe springs.

I installed the 81002/3N last week and bashed the hell outta them 3 days straight.
So far so good. I had to buy a few small washers from Ace HW but it took less than $3 to make them work on my Granite 4x4 BLX. I drained the yellow half filled oil the shocks came with and replaced with 40wt shock oil.

For anyone complaining that the rear shocks of these are too stiff or don’t bounce back like they should. Open the shock, in the plastic disk there are 2 precut holes. In both my rear shocks one or both holes were barely open. They have the plastic from the punch out that acts like a flap and prevents the oil from flowing smoothly. I used a toothpick and pulled the plastic away and with a razor cut it off. Ensuring I have 2 open holes and it’s night and day in stiffness.

Nice! I’ll have to try that!
