Senton Senton 6s BLX Identity Crisis... Settled on Road Car, Final Answer...

Its been a while since I've posted anything but this I couldn't resist. My Senton 6s BLX has had a hard path LOL. Being abused for a year as a SCT. Then beat up for a year as a Rally car. Now it gets the life of luxury as a strictly on road car.

It has shed a lot of weight and parts. Gained 6s LiPo, sticky belted tires, and a huge pinion lol. The Proline Cuda body is finally the icing on the cake.

P.S. The Proline Cuda fits the Senton with literally 0 mods to the body posts. Its paint and drop on.

"IM FINALLY GONNA DO 100 WITH AN RC"

I know I know lol. Hitting 100 mph is so 5 years ago. Well I've never done it. I have now named my senton project "Sterling" and am taking it to 100mph. I got in a pinion pack today and it helped a lot.

I know I will need a new motor mount as the 22t pinion extends the motor in the mount to its max setting. I'm thinkin I'll grab a V4 motor mount.

Anyone know how big of a pinion you can fit with the v4 mount? Hopefully more than 22t lol. The build so far has went faster than expected as I'm on vacation till the 4th. Then it will slow down.

In the end I will either go 8s or a bigger motor. I will be updating this thread till I hit 100. Current results below.

lol... you can always do a drastically different paint job . One more pic to drool over. So shinny. Makes the Senton Huge, easily a 1/6th or 1/7th touring car.

Most likely those will be an end result, after these are burned up. I will say though these GRP s5's are amazing tires. I've seen them on people's infraction/felony's. After owning the GRP's I know what that bright orange sticker on the inside of the rim is, lol.


Well guys she Grabbin the pole and Strippin down, lol. Gonna make new side skirts and F/R diffusers. Pics Below.

I raced and built so many 10th scale touring cars. The size of this is literally a dream come true 5 times over. I cant keep my hands off her. lol

My current build plans are as follows:

4.3:1 Diff ratio will stay the same
34t Spur
28t Pinion
25.2 Voltage
2050kv Motor
3.8" Tires
150 amp ESC

That will bring me right to 103.02 mph

5.1HP @ 2.69 ft-lbs


Once I hit 100 mph I will super size it:

4.3:1 Diff ratio will stay the same
34t Spur
28t Pinion
33.6 Voltage
2050kv Motor
4" Tires
160 amp 8s ESC

This will bring me to 156.98 mph

7.2HP @ 2.87 ft-lbs

Thats what i used at the lhs to match this body to the chassis. Grabbed a display of the 3s and started jammin bodies on it lol

Update

Rebuilt my chassis with new side skirts and slightly different placement of things. Lowered suspension even more.

ALSO!! I got my Wide Body Kit installed!! Noice!! Now its finally slammed, lol

Complete center spool with 34t spur, and a 28t pinion are on the way, as well as swaybars.

Yes. 34t spool and 27 Pinion will get you fast in no time. And get the V4 motor mount. Or an upgrade one if going larger motor and 8S ESC down the road. Think a PPS motor mount.

Yup spool and pinion are already ordered. I asked the seller if it fits. Yeah I think ill have to get the updated mount soon.

So what can I make the foam bumper out of. like the kind all touring cars have. I'm thinkin yoga block as it seems to be the exact same material but I don't have those just laying around. Any other suggestions.

Ok now the body kit is done lol. Had to do some piping to finish it off. Turned out IMO amazing and the wheel arches are 100% tight to the body.

I was going to chime in recommending 34 spur and 28t pinion or 29t pinion but you already figured it out.
This should get your right around 95mph +/- 3mph.

Make sure to put lots of rake in the suspension. You want the front lip nearly touching the ground (using droop screws) and the rear says where its at. Screw down the spring pre-load in the rear as much as you can and get the front pretty snug also.
