Senton Senton motor question lag

My LHS recommended my brushless upgrade to https://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=SPMXSEMC01 as I’m doing a brushless conversion on my mega I went and bought the 57T slipper set and 20T pinion but the shaft on the motor is too small is there a way to either change/ increase size of the shaft or should I be looking at buying a different motor

You can buy shaft sleeves to increase the size but I haven't heard very good reviews about them. Another option is to just look for mod .8 pinions in the smaller size which I'm guessing is the 3.175mm shaft. Would be cheaper than buying a whole new motor.

Ok so I’ve finished the upgrade to the hd57 spur and 20T pinion I’m running 3s but noticed today when I took it out for a few rips that I now have lag at dead stop to full throttle and the car starts to shudder then goes and advice would be much appreciated thank you
