Senton Senton Road Conversion Tips

Hey guys ! I'm looking to change my Senton 3S into a full on road beast. Curious if anyone had done this and can shine some light on it.

I plan on changing a bunch and lowering the vehicle. Maybe some hot racing diffs if I plan on going 4S .

@jondilly1974 Okay awesome. By the way I'm looking to fit 17MM hexs on my Senton. Hot Racing is out of stock and I hear traxxas has alot of slop. Any other options ? I'm planning to run dBoot Hoons. Thanks.

I would just buy the Typhon 3S parts. You will need the axles, hexes, pins, and nuts.

Awesome ! Ordering the parts today. Besides the hex Conversion for the dBoot Hoons I'm planning on getting the 26T and throwing in my BLX120. Keeping the stock motor but only staying 3S lipo. However should I get an adjustable motor mount ? Looks like the stock one has other holes labeled for 26, 13 etc. Not quite sure what they mean though.

However should I get an adjustable motor mount ? Looks like the stock one has other holes labeled for 26, 13 etc. Not quite sure what they mean though.

You remove the motor from the mount, and use the holes that correspond to whatever pinion you are putting on to remount. It moves the motor closer or farther from the engine so the different size gears line up. They have 13, 15, 20, 26 I think. There are adjustable motor mounts that fit any size, but you don't need one to try a 26T.

@jondilly1974 @Jasonkw I ordered those parts! As for ride height , I'd like to completely slam the truck to the ground or get it as low as possible. Is this possible with the stock shocks?

Maybe the limitless shocks will work?

Yes. You can use fuel tubing to limit the travel of the shocks. Place a piece of tubing on the shock shaft under the piston.

I’m really late (like 2 years) but I just got 12mm hexes and then 12mm to 17mm hex adapters
