Here's my Senton with Granite wheels. Trimmed the body with a Dremel and added some 1/8" vacuum hose for wheel well moldings. Cut the hose length wise, very carefully, fit it over the body lip, then super glued it. Figured if the tires bottom out, it will be less likely to cut the tire. Also switched to 15t pinion. Now it wheelies:p

Nice touch with the fender liner ??????

Man sooo tempted to do this. I have a fresh body waiting to be cut up. The liner cleans up the cut lines for sure. I kinda did the same thing with my wrangler fenders when I hacked them up but I used a black trim/molding strip. Looks good man.

I've got a set of Granite wheels/tires I've been meaning to put on my Senton.

And I have some rubber "edge molding" from my Supra project that will fit where you used the hose, and I don't have to cut it.

Thanks for posting this, as I now have some encouragement to finish this up. We have really weird street curbing here, and the stock Senton tires are just a little too small to be able to go up the curbs smoothly.

Love the vacuum hose idea! Going to do this...as soon as I can find some Granite tires in stock up here in Canada...geeze!

If you go bigger than stock size tires you will need to change the pinion gear to 15T or 13T or you will damage something. Mine has a 13T pinion gear and runs fine. It goes 45mph.

This is Mid-Evil looking. Awesome. I made a body lift out of water pipe tubing, dowels, and screws. I didn't want to cut the body. That looks real cool. Thanks for pics.

What wheels are these? Part number if you have it? Are they 14mm? Granite wheels are hard to find right now... Apparently respirators, n95 masks and hand sanitizer are higher on the supply chain list ?

Yes they are 12mm not 14mm. Here is the pics of tje tire info

Already have the Granite pinion in it to go with the Granite tires.

@Senton Monster, the pic you posted is DTXC3523.... if you follow @Jasonkw 's link, the Sixpack MT C2 wheels that come up there are DTXC5256 and when you search that product number it comes up as 14mm
Hey, Yeah i found some other tires were 14mm and i didn't have to change the hubs. The hobby store I use locally mainly carry 12mm so I had to change my hubs to 12mm. Although, I did blow out the side wall of the SIX PACKS 14mm and so off to the hobby shop. got some tire glue which is Super Glue " not foam safe ". later today I went back, found he did get 4 new tires in 14mm and I picked them up. These tires are very sticky. They are Duratrax Hatchet MT for the Granite 4x4 P\N DTXC5258. These look better and the rubber design looks like it will just throw dirt and debris like crazy. I'll find out tomorrow when I go to the flying field to fly my A-4 Skyraider. My phone is dead so i'll put pics later tonight.

If your local hobby shop stock 12mm hubs then mod to 12mm so you can get the tires you want. Your not limited to only 14mm. That's what i did at first.

Thats a sweet looking Senton.... the liner is a nice touch, got more pics of what hosed you used.?

It's just 1/8" rubber automotive vacuum hose. The tricky part is cutting it lengthwise without needing stitches afterward:rolleyes:. I put the end of the hose in my vise so I could hold the loose end and cut away from me. Then fit the hose over the lip of the wheel well and glue it from the inside.
