Servo Mount Upgrade for Arrma Kraton, Talion and Typhon

About to assemble the Hot Racing servo mount and was wondering why there are so many screws. I see using the smaller screws to mount the servo to the mount and for mounting the shafts to the mount but what are the longer screws for. I was thinking that they are used to mount the servo mount to the chassis. The stock screws are longer and wondering if I use them.

Thanks

JB, I don't have the HR or any aftermarket servo mount, but I gather the 8 "shorter" screws would be used to mount the long red mounting posts to the HR servo mount (through the top and bottom). This would be the 4 holes under the chassis and the 4 concave holes on the wider sides of the servo mount. The 4 "longer" screws & 4 silver colored aluminum concave washers (which you use on top of the servo), are used to mount the servo to the HR mount (using the 4 flat surfaced holes on the ends of the mount), as you do not use your servo rubber grommets or screws from your old servo mount.

If you're tried of all the flex in the servo mount while turning in the Arrma Kraton this servo mount upgrade will certainly fix the flex issue.

Parts used:
The results speak for themselves...

Thanks to Primal for sharing.
Is that a tall servo? I see the servo horn has the link mounted below horn

With the 30mm post you have the servo mounted to the underside , can it be put on top if the servo is the "tall" or I believe 40+mm

I know this is an older thread, but I just installed a Hot Racing servo mount, I saw it was mentioned it flexes a bit, I have not experienced that, with the stock mount I was seeing lots of flex, none with the HR, it's not only great looking but it's quality piece

There is one more cool option, not mentioned here previously. I have just installed Armor Werks Servo mount - https://www.armorwerks.com/. Surprisingly page was suggested to me by Facebook, I saw no mentions for that, but it was looking well made and I decided why not to try?
So finally it proofed itself as a solid part, in particular useful for those who looking for anodized single piece. Available in three colors - red, silver and black. As it was mentioned in a separate thread - made by man in Arizona, so that’s not a Chinese manufacture. Fits well, no issues. Stands solid as expected. Black color looks strict and near indistinctly from plastic original) Happy with that, as well as new JX 30kg waterproof servo.

Did a little research. It appears that Arrma uses the same 25T spline used by Futaba, Savox, MKS and a few others.

Here's the AmorWorks mount in red. Matches my Typhon nicely. Had a Futaba BLS352 laying around so installed that. Can't wait to run it.

Got 3 packs through my new servo (Futaba BLS352) and the AmorWorks mount shown above. Servos is noticeably faster and centers way better than the stock analog servo. Not sure what the mount contributed, but . I like the way it looks!!

Got a set of TRB sealed bearings and a Voltage front and rear skid plate set coming early next week.

hot racing makes a nice 25t arm, i've got one on my talion with a savox servo stuffed into a hot racing mount.
