I know a lot of people here like the HobbyStar servos, and RC Juice is having a sale on them. And other things as well. 😊

I think @Moirae needs at least 9 more…
Do you, or anyone else have any experience with Hobbystar ESCs?? They have this 100amp 4S capable ESC on sale for a sweet price! Looks pretty tempting 🤔 I'm running a Reedy SC600-BL in my Senton and while its OK, I'm not that impressed with it.

Some say they are rebranded HobbyWings, but I don’t know. I do know many like them and have had good success, but I honestly can’t figure out why their 6s ESC’s come with XT60 connectors. I’d swap those out for XT90‘s. The 3s/4s ESC’s should be ok with them, though.

The general consensus i've seen for these and other "off-brand" ESCs is to run them slightly below their stated capacity. IE don't throw a 150a hobbystar ESC in a kraton and expect great results. I would expect a 150 amp hobbystar ESC < Spektrum 150a < Hobbywing. If the price is right though, i'd be willing to give it a try.

Edit: As a side note, the new Hobbywing 10BL120 G2 looks to be a replica/copy of the old MAX10 SCT ESC (which was a solid ESC, 2s-4s and 120a) and can be found for $60. I'd be more trusting of that personally for $10 more dollars (once you add in shipping from RCjuice).

They are as good as stock, buy the cheaper ones.

Thanks for all the info guys, super helpful. I think I'll stick with Castle for now, although that hobbywing @Hector_Fisher mentioned does sound like it could be a worthy contender. I already have Castlelink, so unfortunately I'd have to buy the programming accessories all over if I were to switch brands.
