I ordered mine from Horizon Hobbies on 7/31, FedEx says it will be at my house on Tuesday 9/6. Could take a while for the back order, but Amain is a lot better than Horizion. In my case it was the $20 Amain wanted for shipping that made me chose Horizon Hobbies free shipping.

Yup, and getting a pinion too, tomorow. My HW 5690 (15% off found in this thread) should come on Wednesday from Amain and my Max5 G2 (15% off on Amazon, which I also found on here) came Sunday. Servos and receivers? Got plenty of those in my stash. I should be ready to rock soon.

Always wanted to try the MT10E, we have a couple of the Dukono Variants (HSP Wolverine), they are fun!

I can tell you from experience the MT10E is a tank. It is a little smallish for being 1/10 scale, but it is a brute. I have one & my brother has one. We upgraded his to 4s & it takes it like a champ. My only advice is to buy the optional center diff.

At $200 it is an absolute steal and does not get the respect it deserves. I firmly believe that is unfortunately due to the Redcat nameplate. It is a rebranded Team Magic vehicle & should not be considered a budget RC. Same goes for the defunct Redcat MT8E & MT8E BE6S. Both of those were Team Magic vehicles as well & are still in production overseas. I have a BE6S & love it, one of my all-time favorites.

I met some of the gentlemen that run Redcat a few years ago at SEMA & they stated the price point for the 1/8 scale MT8E line was just too high for their customer base. They stated they are seen more as an entry level company and while they tried to upbrand themselves with the Team Redcat line, it unfortunately did not play out.

I'm just mad that I bought the gen 9 crawler back during their summer sales for $330 and thought that was going to be the sale of the year!!! Shows that patience is a virtue that gets you better sales

I think the gen8 crawler is a steal at this price. Sure it might not be as "refined" as a traxxas equivalent, but there are plenty of hop ups for it if you want to upgrade anything, and at basically less than half the cost, it's definitely worth a consideration for anyone wanting to venture into crawling and get their feet wet.

After reviewing the what did you break thread, I'm suggesting some go back to basics and start with something less expensive...maybe learn to drive first.
