Shimming input gear

Was wondering if any of you have or needed to shim the differential input gear and if so what shims to use? Saw a couple posts on this topic but no for sure answers it's on a v3 outcast. Also my diff is shimmed with tekno shims on the ring gear side.

It's never a "bad" idea to shim them. Most people use the Mugen washers from most of the videos I've seen.

You can put a shim in the front and rear diffs inside between the bearing and input shaft/pinion.
