Arrma RC's
  1. Kraton 6s
My bud sent me a couple pics as he was installing these . Still bottoms out but helps he says . Has anyone ever tried these Axial shock dampeners ? Part #AXA1358. I’m currently using M2c pistons and emulsion caps and it’s decent enough from before . Curious though what the forum has to say . Also , the shocks with the canister on the top side , is that for hard landings ? We usually jump a kcrc with typhons , kratons , noto s around 30-50ft long . Thanks for any help bash brothers .

Those "canisters" on the side of the shock allows for more oil and more adjustability. But also can be a PITA!

Those style of shocks always leak.

A small cushion at the top of bottom of the stroke isnt a bad thing to soften the sudden stop. But at some point they start limiting your travel - that may be desirable. If your sticking something that long in there though, you probably should think about changing shock lengths.

The bigger oil reservoir isnt needed. I had some a long, long time ago that allowed differential rebound rates, but they were $$, fickle and just not needed. Give me a good quality, simple regular bodied shock any day.

Sounds good . I was going to put a 1/4” airline tubing in or less . Just something to help the slams from jumping . I have the one Kraton landing perfect but using the 4s lp copperheads which was usually stocks or 6s backflips . This is for the notorious . So far I have the gearing nice and smooth . Might need to get another set of M2c pistons . I think the orings might need changing after 50 packs . They were great when they were new and still doing excellent on a 4s outcast . Man , that 4s outcast has given me zero trouble
