Why is 90-100w or 1000cts and over shock oil really hard to find?

What is tje weight for the typhon v3 mate? (and or cst)
My manual says 550cst. I just replaced the rear with 800cst and highly recommend it. Much softer. The rear stays much more planted. This is a 2018 V3 manual.

A couple people have asked how the cSt oil weight converts to wt values that are found on many shock oil bottles. Below are the shock wt values converted to cSt as well as the conversion of Arrma-RC models for easy reference.

Shock oil sets:
Team Losi Shock Oil 6Pk - 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45
Team Losi Shock Oil 6Pk - 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100

WT to CST Silicone Oil Conversion Chart

10wt = 100cst
15wt = 150cst
20wt = 200cst
25wt = 275cst
30wt = 350cst
35wt = 425cst
40wt = 500cst
45wt = 575cst
50wt = 650cst
55wt = 725cst
60wt = 800cst
70wt = 900cst
80wt = 1000cst

Arrma Granite shocks use 350cSt (or 30wt) oil.
Arrma Kraton shocks use 550cSt (or roughly 43wt) oil.
Arrma Nero shocks use 1000cSt (or 80wt) oil.
What about getting into the 100,000, 500,000, and 1,000,000 CST to WT?

I don't think shock oil is measured in such high weight. If you look at the Talion, Kraton and Outcast in the photo above, you see that none of them exceeds 2000cst. The numbers you are using usually apply to the thicker differential fluids.

An old post but a great one woodie
Legend for posting it!

Guys, this chart is only for Team Associated oils. Every manufacturer is different. If you use Losi oil, this is the chart —

Does anyone know how cps correlates to cst? I want to make my mojave a bit stiffer but on my oil bottles it only says how thick it is in cps. Is 750cps thicker than 550 cst?

Great info, but Nero manuall calls for 3000cst. Possible typo?

I'm about 99% sure diff fluid numbers are in cst. So 10k diff fluid is 10,000 cst. 1k "wt" diff fluid is 1000 cst.

In other words, if you need 1000 "wt" oil, buy 1k diff fluid.

My LHS offers both

Diff oils in CST
Shock oils in CST

In the same CST? Like there's a 2000 cst diff fluid and a 2000 cst shock fluid? From the same manufacturer?

Yeah, the fluids are the same, diff and shock. There's no difference, they're all just silicone oil in different viscosities (cst).
