A couple people have asked how the cSt oil weight converts to wt values that are found on many shock oil bottles. Below are the shock wt values converted to cSt as well as the conversion of Arrma-RC models for easy reference.

Shock oil sets:
Team Losi Shock Oil 6Pk - 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45
Team Losi Shock Oil 6Pk - 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100

10wt = 100cst
15wt = 150cst
20wt = 200cst
25wt = 275cst
30wt = 350cst
35wt = 425cst
40wt = 500cst
45wt = 575cst
50wt = 650cst
55wt = 725cst
60wt = 800cst
70wt = 900cst
80wt = 1000cst

Arrma Granite shocks use 350cSt (or 30wt) oil.
Arrma Kraton shocks use 550cSt (or roughly 43wt) oil.
Arrma Nero shocks use 1000cSt (or 80wt) oil.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly but I thought the Nero's shock oil weight is 3000cst??

I'm confused as well on the diff oil conversions.

Yes, please let us know if there is a conversion done for diff oils. I have some OFNA that is listed as 30,000WTG and 50,000WTG both seem thick, but I'm hesitant to use, so far, not knowing what the CST is...

Are you using those diff oils in an 1/8th truck or a buggy? If it's for a buggy style vehicle,then they're too thick, 10,000wt(centre);7000wt(front);5000wt(rear),is what I used for years in my Kyosho Inferno 7.5(nitro). You can drop the rear oil to 3000wt for more steering.

Got an email from Arrma support confirming that the stock shock oil is indeed 30W.

I have some 400cst oil, and it's (much) thinner than some recently rediscovered mysterious Robbe s140 and s280 (which I used for the shocks of a nitro track car). Given where your scale stops I cannot believe it would be 1400 and 2800CST.
The 140 says medium, the 280 says thick... Any idea what it is in terms of common units?

What is tje weight for the typhon v3 mate? (and or cst)

Yeh same...so i jst watched a video only one i cud find on youtube on rebuilding the nero shocks and ther using diff fluid instead of shock oil both r silicon based so i cant really c an issue especially wen i only hav traxxas diff lube atm 10k, 30k and 50k so is this correct; k=1000 so 50k is 50 000 and next to that is 'weight' so thats (50 000 wt. Diff fluid)?
 
Keep in mind that each vendor uses a different chart, unfortunately. So 50wt TA is not the same as 50wt Losi, hence better to list the actual weight (in cSt) whenever possible...

x1000. TLR shock oil is roughly 2.5wt higher than Associated oil, i.e. 35wt TLR is approximately 32.5wt Associated. You really want to stick with the same brands if at all possible.
