i have a granite. i went with the typhoon big bore shocks, the problem is what springs? ive read through threads but they seem to be older versions or i just get lost in all the info, lol. i have on hand:
tekno - 80 mm orange rate 6.11
tekno - 90mm yellow rate 4.80

the brushed granite shows:
front 54 mm - 7.70
rear 64 mm - 5.4

blx shows:
front 70 mm - 8.85
rear 80 mm - 7.43

the confusion is the teknos have a lighter rating but feel way to stiff, is this because of the extra length?

the typhoon 6s shocks show to be:
front 70 mm - 75.5 gf/mm converted using google to 4.22
rear 84 mm - 56.6 gf/mm converted using google to 3.16

the typhoon shocks i bought didn't come with springs so i cant tell how they feel.

the teknos i was thinking would work the best:
front 75 mm - 4.14 #TKR8765
rear 85 mm - 3.13 #TKR 8775

but they seem to be to light for factory granite numbers. im guessing the size difference of the coil is the main reason? is the rating a lil varied between manufactures?
Any help would be much appreciated. oh i switched it over to brush less w/all the drive train upgrades, motor fan, and for a big, higher mah 3s battery. since weight could affect spring needed.

I hate to be the one to break it to ya... :(

You have to get the unit, those numbers don't mean anything without a unit. And yes, even then the different manufacturers are not consistent.
