I've searched on here a good bit but haven't found much as far as infraction shock set ups. I've seen a few aftermarket shock offerings, perfect pass, gpm, integy. Then the internal parts arrma offers for them. But what is everyone doing with their infraction set ups? This rig is going to be a street basher not a speed run rig. I bought the perfect pass springs for it already but figured there's tips/tricks to help improve them further
I'll share my limited knowledge of what I did, but by no means I'm not on a vet with suspension. Others will share in
I do like my infraction to have a LOOK of a lower stance. I like minimal fender gap. So, I have made adjustments to the body post and droop so it can sit/stance in a certain way. In addition, when drift bashing, I hate for any rig for the ass end to be sagging like a hyena. When under power for the bashers and the Infraction I want it to level even...may not be right but it's my focus.
Battery install, lower stance
This setup requires me to be on smooth ground because that bumpy stuff will catch all the bottom. Cool. For me, this is the only surface I am looking for anyway.
I added the 32in/lb springs in the front only. I need to recheck that number, but it was the next highest over stock. Then, I added more collars to the front. Underpower and side drifts kept the spoiler/splitter from rubbing the ground. The rear body posts are lowered...stock springs, and some collar adjustments to my liking.
I did develop one issue from this setup. The chassis hex screw around the front axle damn heads were grinding smooth, so I could not get a hex screw wrench in them anymore. Adding skid plates resolved that, for me, it sometimes gives a nice spark in the late evening.
It would NOT be the setup for most people here....I am a nutball about stance on all my rigs, so lowering the Infraction for a particular look added other challenges. If you have seen any touring car pics I posted, you'll see all of them have that perfect stance-to-tire/fender ratio.
Let's see what the vets who do this often share
