Hammer Down - Don't mean to get off the subject but It's funny that you say that b/c I have been attacked by a shark in 1992 surfing off the East Coast of FL. I had to get Over 70 stitches just in my right hand & arm. Anyways, there were only 12 attacks in the State of FL and I was one of them, unfortunately. OMFG! That’s my worst nightmare! I have a fear of deep water and sharks. When I go swimming I won’t go much past my waist. ? I’ve also gone swimming in St.Petersburg a few times, but that will make me think twice now. ?

In a lifetime, you are more likely to die from fireworks (1 in 340,733), lightning (1 in 79,746), drowning (1 in 1,134), a car accident (1 in 84), stroke (1 in 24), or heart disease (1 in 5).

Yeah but getting eaten by a shark has to be about one of the worst ways to go!

Do you know what kind of shark it was? It it was one of the true killers (tiger, bull, great white) you are so lucky you are alive.

I got super lucky my friend was out past the third break and said it was a Black Tip & that the shark was around 6ft.
My Buddy was the one to yell SHARK since I never saw it coming - thank God.
